How can i get a decal/vinyl off my car window? Any household stuff like paint thinner or something?

So when i bought my car it had ( and still does have ) a vinyl on the back window. So i tried to get it off today and its just really stuck on there it seems like its been there for a long time. Is there anything i can use to peel it off or chip it away?How can i get a decal/vinyl off my car window? Any household stuff like paint thinner or something?

single edged razor blade works best,





then use lighter fluid on a rag to wipe off the glue residue,





then use glass cleaner over the entire window
Spray windex heavily on the window and use a sharp single edge razor blade at an angle to scrape off the vinyl.
Use a brand new single edge razor blade. Keep the angle low, do not gouge. Then solvent like you said. I have used after shave for this purpose.
Use an sharp razor blade, then clean the residue with lighter fluid, followed by glass cleaner.
