What kins of paint do i use to paint on vinyl?

I used to do custom work on vinyl tire covers, like the ones you see on the back of jeeps. I used enamels from a local hardware store. The paint comes in 1/2 pint cans to, which is convenient. Great for stuff that is exposed to the weather.





If the vinyl has a rough surface and will remain indoors and not be rubbed up against, like wall art, you can use regular acrylics.What kins of paint do i use to paint on vinyl?
What kind of vinyl? What will it be used for? What kind of wear and tear will the piece be exposed to?
