Or do I need to buy something else? I've heard of something called Prepsol, but have no idea what it is. Tried researching it and apparently you buy it by the liter and it's expensive =(
I only need a small amount for one small decal.Does anyone know if paint thinner will remove vinyl decals from glass?
paint thinner (laquer) is the best, cheap also, prepsol is about 20 bucks a gallon and laquer thinner works 100 times faster. not very safe though.
For the home owner. use the goo gone product. rubbing alcohol wont work on those.Does anyone know if paint thinner will remove vinyl decals from glass?
You wan't something like Goo-Gone. Go to your hardware store and ask the clerk for products that will remove decals.
Try rubbing alcohol.
Or acetone (fingernail polish remover) if that doesn't work.
I'd try Goo Gone or WD-40 and a razor blade.
Razor blade should do it or you could try Goo Gone.
razor blade will remove it and alcohol rubbing kind
Is it a non-adhesive decal? Have you tried soapy water? For adhesive ones try mineral oil
WD-40 is the best for removing any sticker. You should never scrape plastic with a razor blade. Glass should be OK but if it's really not glass a razor blade will do damage. Work the sticker off with your finger nail instead.
you can by this stuff called Goo-Gone, from home depot or home hardware. It comes in a relatively small bottle, but I'm not sure how much it costs. Basically you peel off as much of the decal as possible, then soak a paper towel with this stuff, rub it over the area, and it dissolves all the sticky stuff, into a weird paste which just wipes right off. the window will look as good as new.
There is a very cheap product called Goo-Gone, avalible at wal-mart, target, etc.
It WILL work, better than ANYTHING I have ever, ever tried!!!

this will show you what to look for
Why not just buy one of the small razor blade scrappers such as used for removing vehicle stickers on windshields and scrape it off?
