Armrests in truck im trying to paint, they are flexible vinyl, and the paint keeps flaking off,how do i fix it?

i have a 1994 ford ranger, i have redone the rest of the interior, just on the doors the armrests are flexible and when i paint them, the paint just flakes off, what can i do to get it to stick fully, i tried skuffing, its not that its not sticking, its just that the material will flex and it will flake off.Armrests in truck im trying to paint, they are flexible vinyl, and the paint keeps flaking off,how do i fix it?
you'll have to use paint that's made for plastic, I've only seen it in a spray though... Ask a sales person.
