Can anyone tell me the best way to paint over a vinyl wrapped sheet rock wall?

I have a double wide home and i am tired of looking at the same ole color but how do you pain over it and it not peel off?Can anyone tell me the best way to paint over a vinyl wrapped sheet rock wall?
prime it first with an oil based primer such as kilz or zinzer 1-2-3 or X-I-M , then allow it to dry overnight and topcoat with a latex paint,I prefer X-I-M- as my primer as it has excellent adhesion properties . painting ContractorCan anyone tell me the best way to paint over a vinyl wrapped sheet rock wall?
I scrubbed mine down with TSP (it is a special cleaner that I got at Sherwin Williams, but I think it's available at most anywhere that sells paint). It kind of etches the finish of the vinyl so that the paint can stick. It is also an excellent cleaner for lots of other things, I have since discovered.

Use good paint.

Mine seems to be sticking fine, painted it in October 06.
