Can I paint on vinyl with acrylic paints without it flaking off?

Vinyl . . . what?

A vinyl banner, absolutely, and it will stretch with the banner, works great. Vinyl banner material has a shiny/slick side and a less shiny ';toothy'; side. Paint on the toothy side for better adhesion, but it will work on the shiny side too.

A hard vinyl surface, it will flake, shrink and peel UNLESS you prep it first. If you go over the area to be painted with steel wool or light sandpaper to rough it up, the acrylics will adhere to it just fine.

BTW ';acrylics'; are really just expensive latex paints. :-)Can I paint on vinyl with acrylic paints without it flaking off?
use oil paint... but there are vinyl paint products out there and you'd have to prepare the vinyl with a 'salt like additive' 12 hours beforehand..

um... check ebay for vinyl paint products... or keyword in google.com as in ';products for vinyl or plastic painting';
