yes you can paint your shutters. there are many good acrylic paints that will work for this. white is the perfect color as it won't absorb the heat from the sun causing as much expanding and contraction. you may have to paint two coats of white to hide the green. Can I paint ';Green Vinyl Shutters'; to White?
Yes, it will be much easier if you can take them down. They make aerosol spray paints that for plastic and vinyl. I have to respray mine every few years as the paint fades and the color underneath bleeds through. But, I do all eight of mine for less than $20.00, so I do not let the frequency of repainting bother me.
Nothing can stop u if you like it go ahead.
Well sir your green shutters might have to stay that color if you did not buy a paintable vinyl shutter. Most shutters on the market are bought pre-colored meaning the pigment is in the poly product. If I remember correctly polypropylene is the only paintable exterior shutter on the market. If it is polypropylene then just coat over it. If not get ahold of me and I will sell you new ones.
