How to make vinyl paint mask for RC, hobby painting etc.?

hello. so i got into painting things. but i needed designs so i nab myself one of those vinyl paint mask. here an example of what i used

but i figures i dont want to buy a new one everytime i want to paint a new project. i was wondering if there is any way i can make my own? can i buy that type of paper? can i use a printer to print something on it? and i can just use a hobby knife to cut it cuz i dont have a vinyl cutter. thanks for the helpHow to make vinyl paint mask for RC, hobby painting etc.?

As to your question, try some artist's ';frisket'; paper. It's a clear acetate type sheet with one side adhesive. You can draw whatever you need on it then cut to fit. It comes with enough sheets to last a while. Michael's should have it.
