And if so, with what kind of paint.
I bought some hortizontal mini blinds for the office. They are ';Alabaster'; color. They were cheap, but they don't quite match with walls, which are a light green.
I'm thinking a couple of cans of Krylon will do the trick.
Wondering if anyone has every done this before.Anybody have any thoughts on how to paint vinyl mini blinds?
This site had the same question: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/good-鈥?/a> and a lot of negative, but a few positive answers.
This site: http://www.doityourself.com/stry/paintin鈥?/a> tells you how to do it!
I don't need mine painted, I just need someone to volunteer to clean them, 'cause I'm too lazy!Anybody have any thoughts on how to paint vinyl mini blinds?
Spray paint is your easiest option.
Yes, I did it. It worked just fine. Hung them outside on the clothesline with wires and spray painted them.
No kidding chie, Painting I don't know about, mine were too dirty to paint and they are just a beaaaach to clean for some reason.....For what it's worth... I just replaced 8 of them. Installation of the first one is a trick then it is easy. Forget cleaning them, you could get them custom made at Home Depot for very little....takes about 2 weeks for them to come in..
They are pretty east to take down, but the new hardware is different from the old so it has to be replaced...I think they were like $30 or 40 bucks a piece..
spray paints are perfect do this outdoors and wear a mask ( I'm not insinuating anything)
They are very cheap to replace or have you thought about just cleaning them?
Other than that you could spray paint them.
If they were so inexpensive go buy the colors you need skip the paint it will start peeling soon
spray paint.
exercise PATIENCE when spray painting
cant stress that enough
you might consider using spray primer 1st
p.s. there is also spray urethane (to seal) (e.g. minwax brand) (optional)
THe Krylon should work fine...
I imagine that could work, I would suggest using a non-water based paint. Maybe a waterproof vinyl paint itself.
Be sure to do all of your painting in a well ventilated area and keep the floor and surfaces covered as to keep paint of them.
Best of luck!

I have, it does. (do it outside)
